In 2002, 24/7 Fire Protection Services, Inc. was established to meet the fire protection needs of commercial, industrial, and government facilities.

At Breakwater International they inspect and test a wide range of fire protection and safety equipment. They provide fire extinguishers, fire suppression systems, life jackets, hydrostatic testing system and much more.

CAL FIRE - Office of the State Fire Marshal is dedicated to the fire protection and stewardship of over 31 million acres of California's privately-owned wildlands. In addition, the Department provides varied emergency services in 36 of the State's 58 counties via contracts with local governments. Preventing wildfires in the State Responsibility Area (SRA) is a vital part of CAL FIRE's mission.

The Kern County Fire Department (KCFD) is an organization comprised of over 621 permanent employees protecting an area that spans over 8,000 square miles. They provide fire protection services for over 500,000 citizens living in the unincorporated areas of Kern County and the cities of Arvin, Delano, Maricopa, McFarland, Ridgecrest, Shafter, Taft, Tehachapi, and Wasco. Over 521 uniformed firefighters stationed in 47 stations across Kern County.
