Dozens of Fire and Rescue NSW (FRNSW) firefighters today have set out on an epic 24-hour climb of the Furber Steps at Katoomba, in the Blue Mountains, to raise money for charity.
The group is seeking to aid research into Motor Neurone Disease (MND), as part of the annual ‘Firies Climb for MND’ event, and so far has raised almost half of its $100,000 target. The firefighters set off on their charity mission today, supported by FRNSW Commissioner - Jeremy Fewtrell, and Deputy Commissioner - Field Operations, Paul McGuiggan.
