Hardstaff Barriers has continued to show its support for local businesses and communities by sponsoring a charitable event in aid of Nottinghamshire YMCA. Formed in 1871, Nottinghamshire YMCA is one of the county’s oldest charities, providing accommodation for the homeless and promoting youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility.

Raising funds

Hardstaff, a safety barrier manufacturer, donated staff from the branding agency Three rooms, based in Nottingham, and completed the Robin Hood Half Marathon to raise much-needed funds for the charity. Three rooms, which provides marketing and branding services for Hardstaff Barriers and Nottinghamshire YMCA, has so far raised more than £1400 for the charity as part of a year-long fundraising drive.

Managing Director, Ian Morris, and Graphic Designer, Michael Davies, completed the 13-mile challenge last month. In addition, Senior Brand Designer, Zoe Scott-Smith, also recently walked the distance from Nottingham to Paris, more than 350 miles, as her contribution to the fundraising.

Improve health and wellbeing

The money will help the charity to fund services and programs to improve the health and well-being of all

The money will help the charity to fund services and programs which aim to support local individuals, families, and communities to improve health and wellbeing for all.

These include a 24-hour gym, the provision of emergency accommodation and transitional housing, affordable childcare services, and young people’s programs.

Supporting charities and communities

Dave Todd, Director of Hardstaff Barriers, said; “It’s a real pleasure for Hardstaff Barriers to, once again, support a local charity and recognize the charitable efforts of our colleagues at Three rooms. Well done to Three rooms for helping to make a difference to communities in Nottinghamshire.”

Ian Morris, Managing Director of Three rooms, said, “We’ve worked with Hardstaff Barriers for some years now and are impressed by their consistent support for charities and communities. We are very grateful to them for donating to our chosen charity, Nottinghamshire YMCA, which supports some of the most vulnerable members of our community.”
